Since our last website, way back in 2012, a lot has happened, we have all grown older and wiser and been out and about. A planned trip to Australia in 2015 for 5 weeks was a good experience, although the flights were long and food extremely limited for Colin and Mark, we met up with family and friends in Queensland and Melbourne. Lots to see and do, including a trip to Australia Zoo, with the crocs an koalas. Long walks along the Sunshine coast and plenty of sightseeing along the way.
Shortly after Marks 18th birthday, Mark, his friend and us travelled to Kent to pick up a very special delivery, an 8 week old Border Collie X, a little bundle of mischief, called Rueben. He is a delightful and intelligent boy, loves playing ball, eating crackers and oaty biscuits, always has those puppy eyes to ask for more! He has been a joy for all of us, despite a few naughty bits here and there. He loves the seaside and chasing the seagulls, more holidays with him later in the summer time.
Mark left school last June and began a further education course at the local college, he's still not sure yet what work to go into. He is a big fan of anything Dr Who, we have been to Cardiff and the studios, seen exhibitions and collected lots of Whovian memorabilia. His Dr who themed bedroom looks amazing with life a sized wall mural of the inside of the TARDIS, images of the tardis on the wall and wall units filled with daleks, Dr's and just about everything else related.
Colin is still working hard, travelling around the country for his work, sometimes in his office locally, no plans to retire just yet, even if he does, there is so much more to do!
Pat is still involved in family history and some research can led to visiting areas to find out more information, a positive result is exciting.
We built a "retreat" shed at the end of the garden, a place to chill and relax, however due to Marks bedroom being done, it has become of a storage shed! I might have to claim it back later in the year.
